Course Overview
The Certificate in Children’s Fitness is an entry level qualification for anybody who wants to work with kids in a fitness environment. The Kid’s Instructor course provides you with the skills to deliver fun & safe fitness based activity to children ages five to sixteen, giving you access to a whole new market.
This course consists of the Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Children’s Fitness. If you already have a fitness instructing qualification then you will only need to do part of the course which could only take you a few weeks.

Main details
- Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Children’s Fitness)
This enables you to instruct group fitness sessions to children ages 5 – 16.
Once completed students will be qualified to join CIMSPA or REPS at level 2
Assessment
You will need to complete 2 multiple choice tests (none if you have already completed a fitness instructing qualification) and a practical assessment.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification other than being aged 16+
Career opportunities
Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be able to apply for work as a children’s fitness instructor, or start your own business. After-school clubs can be really popular.
